Take control of your health!

This morning as I was practicing my morning ritual of giving thanks, saying my clearing mantra, giving thanks and praying.  Then all of a sudden I thought what is it that I am doing or not doing to create all the abundance I truly want in my life?  So I began to be thankful for all that I have and all that I am.  This usually does the trick for me and as if by magic all my guides and angels line everything up for me and I begin to see, feel and hear things flow naturally and easily to me.   So I thought, I believe I am stuck because, I am falling back into the comfort of having everything be comfortable.  Then as if to hear an angel say to me look up, I did and I saw the majesty of a silver hawk open his wings and fly over my head.  I was so taken by the sight that it literally knocked the wind out of me.  Then I thought what is this bird doing here in a common neighborhood?  It is out of its natural environment!  It belongs in a mountain setting.  Then, I realized it was a sign!  I had been given a sign, this bird was out of its comfort zone.  That was the answer, I need to be out of my comfort zone in order to get unstuck! I spoke to myself mentally….. Marti, you need to be out of your comfort zone in order to grow!!  There you have it, the more you can be out of your comfort zone the more you will grow. Think outside the box! Be strong, Be bold, Be all that you can be.  Be out of your comfort zone!  Fly like a bird!

There is a lot of talk among the New Age communities about a return to feminine energy and a return to feminine leadership.  Somehow, it is believed that with women in charge we will somehow clean up all of the world’s problems and magically bring civilization back to a place of beauty and harmony living off the land in a peaceful nurturing way.  I am not sure that this is truly how it will be.   But we can all live in this dream of creation and hopefulness as we anticipate the coming of 2012.  I believe that the time is here when we must begin to usher in this new energy.  Make room  in our mental closets, open our minds, touch our hearts and let our spirits flow.    So what does USHER really mean?  When I look up the word usher-I get this definition-(To bring forward (a plan, for example) for consideration.)  Yes it is time, 2010 is the time to bring forward the age of restoration.  To restore the peace, harmony and love…. all that we have lost with all the  excess male energy surrounding the universe.   We are living in the second and third Chakras.  This can be very harmful  to us as a society.  We are beginning to see the harm and destruction that this can cause.   In one of my previous articles, I write about the difference of the male and feminine energies and how they are represented in our bodies, right and left side.   Today with much meditation and help from the guides that are using my fingers right now to write this, I know different, the male energy has its inception in the lower half of the body and the female energy rules the upper part of the body.  Chakras one, two and three are ruled by the male dominance, and the fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh Chakras are ruled by the dominance of the female light, the female energy.  This can only be known by those who listen and tune themselves into their own energy.  When we begin to respect and usher in this great energy that lives in all of us …. male and female….we begin to heal our lives, our planet, our world and our own light.  So with this I chant this feminine energy yoga chant:

Here is the meditation prayer:    May all those who were adversely affected by the earthquake in Haiti be deeply healed and guided to the resources and help they need. May all those providing aid including food, water, medical care and shelter and those involved in rebuilding the infrastructure be filled with the love, strength, perseverance and organizational skills needed to fulfill their purpose.
Please lets set aside ourselves our egos and please please join me to help these beautiful folks heal!

Please sit in a quiet place, begin by closing your eyes and feeling love inside your heart.  Once you are in that space begin your prayer.  You will help me in sending love and healing to a place that need it most right now.

Today is a healing day.  As a Reiki master level three with more than 3 certification from three different schools of Reiki, I have come to be able not only to feel energy, but to see energy.  This seeing is something I  was born with.  As a child I remember thinking that I was posessed and that I was a devil child.  Why could I seem to do things with my mind that other kids did not.  I remember wishing bad things on a person and with my eyes fixed on the person, I would bring the feelings of hurt, destruction and terror to my mind and heart.  I would stare at the person with the coldest thoughts and simultaneously thinking the words ” Harm, Hate, Anger and Revenge. My body would begin to heat up and then all of a sudden I would hear the person who was the object of this energy, scream stop it, stop it!  Those words would break my concentration and before I knew it I was in total shock by the tears and fear I saw in that persons eyes.  I would ask “What happened?” not conciously knowing the harm I was causing or that I was the one causing this harm with my thoughts, emotions and feelings.  Then all of a sudden I would get this overwhelming feeling that I was bad, I was a bad seed, this was not God’s work but the work of the devil.  I felt awful.   I remember being the only one on the block that everyone wanted to play the Ouija board with, I could make the eye move without touching it.  It would move on its own.  I could make doors close and people hurt.   Why?   Why?  Why me?  How could I be so bad, so dark, so ugly.  I remember being afraid to go to church for fear that I would burn inside, after all that was what happened to bad people.  Who could help me?  The only person who could help me was my grandmother, who on her death bed said to me- You are different of the 23 grandkids, You can see.  Why me? I was the oldest of the 5th son.  I was born on the 5th month.  I was 5 when I began to manifest this “curse”.  All of my young life, as a teenager, I was living in fear that I must be in control or else the bad in me might come out.  I did everything I could to hide this thing inside me.  I did not realize that It was a part of me.  What was it that I could make people hurt? Revenge? Anger? Fear?  As an adult, I have come to realize that this “thing” could have consumed me.  It could have ruined my life if I allowed it.  I never realized that people could sense it.  I went to psychics and readers who all told me that I could be the one doing the reading, that I had psychic powers.  I never believed them.  I spent my entire adult life looking and searching for answers, never having faith that I was not given a curse but had been given a gift.  So today, I have come to know that I don’t have a curse but a gift.  I am healing.  I am healing.  I am love.  I have been given the gift of healing others and helping them find their healing.  I am sharing who I am.  I am ready.   After living a life that would make a reality show seen like a cartoon, I am ready to heal, to love and to accept all that I am and all that I have.  Now in the age of Aquarius beautiful things will happen, 2010 is the beginning of a new earth, new world, new love.  May my healing bring all of you to a place of silence, love and understanding.

December 31st 2009,  will present a celestial event that happens only once every 2.5 years the next blue moon will happen again on August 31, 2012.  This New years marks a very special and spiritual event that for many of us is quite needed.  This is the time for New and inspired beginnings. This lunation, occurring on the last day of the year, can help sweep away low-vibration attitudes and situations, generating a force field of joy to bless the New Year. This is a very special event in that there will be a lunar eclipse and a “Blue Moon”.  This only happens Once in a Blue Moon A “Blue Moon” occurs when two full moons happen in one calendar month.  We will be experiencing the alignment of the lunar and solar calendars and a rare blue moon on December 31. This will be a potent time.  There are many challenges the world is facing today.  There are also many of us facing tremendous challenges in our daily lives.  As I move on with my studies in yoga therapy,  I am finding that for thousands of years the teachings have been that the greatest power to heal and to transform is love.

So on this very special day I ask you to join me in ushering in the birth of the Female light and kundalini energy.

Today  December 31, 2009 throughout the day and evening I invite you to join with me to drop into a deep place of unconditional love. This means opening your heart with absolutely no expectations of what will come from this event.     Place your hands on your heart and breathe deeply into your heart feeling the love for the earth, life, and all that is precious to you. Take some time and get into a true place of love that goes beyond your thinking mind.

Start by experiencing love for yourself and all you have been through to get you to this point in life. And when you feel ready expand your heart and allow your love to flow out to our circle throughout the world.

1) Light a red candle, saying something like,

This flame reminds us that we are not alone, but accompanied by the light and power of Omnipresent Good, that is guiding us and assisting us to let go of conditions, belongings, relationships and attitudes that limit the expression of joy and love.

2) Light incense as you say:

This is an offering for the Divine Mother and the Angels of Release and Joy, whose assistance I request to complete this cycle and enter into a new, more joyful phase of existence.

3)  Say this while holding your hands close to your heart.

I’m ready to rediscover joy, I’m ready to release any attitude or situation that inhibits joy. Thank you, Divine Mother-Father,Holy spirit, son as one for lifting these unnecessary burdens from me and my life. Thank you. Thank you.

Today, was phenomenal morning!  I was driving through the desert to get to work.  I had just called upon the earth guides to come and and ground me, wow, they act fast when you believe with your heart.   I was in the windiest part of my drive when up ahead of me at the crack of dawn, I saw something in the near distance.  As I got closer I realized that I was looking at a magnificent Ram.  As I drove closer I saw the aura of this majestic animal it was grand, it was an orange, white and gold color and in the center of this cloud of colors was this great strong creature looking ahead at his path.  I was amazed and mesmerized at the same time.  I could not believe that I had gotten close enough to see the details of his great brown horns ( not sure if that is the name) with light tan ridges, it was as if every ridge signified a year of experience that this animal had accumulated.  The feeling I got immediately grounded me, it was as though I had been given a puff of strength, stability and majesty at the same time.  I felt it deep within my 4th Chakra and it was so strong it made take a deep double breath.  I had only experienced this type of breath in deep meditation.   I was hypnotized by the valor and strength that this animal exuded.  He did not flinch as I got closer with my car but I could hear him say ” I am here, Follow my strength”.   Then all of a sudden he took a very calculated two steps and walked away.  I felt so blessed, so overwhelmed with a feeling of energy, that I could not contain it, It made me scream, and I was glad noone was in the car with me or they would have thought I was crazy. I had just experienced a transfer of energy that cannot be explained in words.  My whole being was filled with a powerful force that it was almost overwhelming.   The feeling  from all this energy was a rush of adrenaline that lasted, and stayed in me for hours.  I felt tall and strong and protected!  I carried this feeling around with me the whole day.  It was amazing!    The fact that as an Auravoyant I can see the magnificent colors of many living things is a blessing I know that now and I am beginning to embrace this gift and as I do the signs and wonders of the spiritual world are becoming more and more evident to me.  I am humbled and I am truly blessed on a daily basis!!   I am grateful for all that I am and everything I have.  I am at peace.

After today’s class at SWC, I believe that all my students should be practicing ahimsa, one of the “5 Wise Characteristics” from the  eight limbs of  Yoga.  Today was a powerful lesson in using the kundalini energy to remove any emotional or energetic blocks that may be suppresed by us anda pushed into our physical body without a way out, and thus manifesting into dis-ease within our bodies.  Today we investigated Brachmacharya- sense control– we moved lots of energy and I would like to hear from my students as to what they expereinced.  It is my goal to enhance the students awarenes of what True Yoga really is.   I am thankful for all of those who have been sharing this summer with me.  I am blessed!!   To all my students I ask please share your thoughts and comments about today’s class.  Namaste,

Why does it take only 1 day to create a bad habit or break a good one, yet it takes 30-40 days to create at positive habit?  I believe it is because we are socially conditioned to believe in the negative.  When you take time to analyze it, you see that we are constantly being bombarded by the media to have faith in the bad!  We are only shown one side of the story and usually that is the bad side.  Take for instance all the media coverage with Michael Jackson’s death.  When the media was covering it, they would show clips of his hey days, yet they would always go back to the bad days of the trial.   We lost a beautiful being and that is what should be covered.  We should respect the fact, and allow his family to grieve in peace.  I know from very personal experience, that when you lose someone in such a tragic way, one needs time to take it all in, digest it and work through the agony to be able to find peace within the space of this tragic event.   The last thing you want is to continue hearing and reliving this event every time you turn on the radio or watch TV and even worse the internet.  Why do they need to point out all of the bad?  When you stop to think about it, 80% of the bad news is reported 100% of the time.  The other 20% is good news  that never gets any air time.  I have yet to see any station courageous enough to report only good news!   The sad part is that the reporters would be lost, they do not know how to search and report on good news.   We as humans have the distinct tendency to believe the bad and fall into a feeling of disbelief when someone shares any good news.   So you see how we are socially conditioned to believe in the bad.   This is the major reason it take us so long to work on changing those bad beliefs to positive more productive ones.  We need to begin to change these behaviors.   This can be achieved by working on them daily.  Instead of expecting the bad, try expecting the good.  It may be hard at first, and you may feel like a hypocrite but as Yoda says “try you must”!  We all owe it to ourselves and to the universe.  So today instead of finding fault with yourself in any way, find one thing that is good about you and be thankful for that!  Each day find one more thing until slowly we all begin to ebb away at that socially conditioned behavior and break free from this dream of our inadequate self!

This is an unusual blog post for me, but I am increasingly finding myself amazed at the frenzy folks are working themselves into.  I think this period we are going through right now as individuals and as a society is a time for growth and spirituality.  It is my opinion that the last decade has been one of living beyond our means and growing our businesses, personal lives and spiritual lives through the competitive mind, at any cost.  It was all about who had more or who could climb the highest ladder for the highest position.  It was about keeping up with the Jones’ no matter what!   This attitude may have cost some thier physical health.  We took our health for granted for one thing, as well as taking many other things for granted like our relationships and lives.   I am not one for citing the biblical phrases but this era that has just come to a screeching halt was  the 21st century version of “Sodom and Gomorrah“.   This all had to stop, and stop it did!  But, and this is the point we are all missing, this is a time for reflection, growth and spirituality.  As Marianne Williamson says in a couple of her audio books and presentations, “the Universe will always give you a second chance to get things right.”   Folks, that is waht we have right now right here! a second chance to see the error of our ways!  A chance to get back to basics and rebuild society, friendships, relationships, businesses, health and of course our lives throught the Creative mind, not the competitive mind.   It is a chance to help our neighbors!  Perhaps we alson cannot buy a home, but we can always pool our resources toether and buy one with a group, and then we can all rent it out or live in it.  It sure beats being homeless!  We must value our health first, come to realize that without that noting else matters!!!  If someone has bad credit due to unforseen circumstances then we can help them by cosigning or something more creative.  It is time for all of us to think out of the box and begin to create a society that we can all be proud of!!!  We can train others to learn to be better employees, business owners, and entrepreneurs.   We can all benefit from this time.  You will always have choices to make through these times but it is about time that we make those choices more consciously and presently, As we begin to do this we will all begin to see our world change for the better.   As my friend says ” This too shall pass!”  But let it pass with us being in the present moment and uniting our creative minds to ee how we can help others first, the rest will come!!!   Your mantra for this recession should be

“How may I serve?”  and when you do this the universe will serve you with all positive things!  Stay well my friends!

We are ready for change.  We must remember that we need to be the change we want to see.  If you want to see more compassion in this world then seek first to be compassionate.  If it is more abundance we want to see in this world then seek first to be generous.  If is is more love we want to experience in this world then we must seek first to be more loving.   In this era we must be true to ourselves, our inner self s.  We must launch our businesses with an intent to provide a service without competitiveness only creativeness.  We must educate for more peaceful living and creativity to thrive and regenerate that what was lost.  We have had our values compromised, by our gluttony in this society, our need to have and be more by using and stepping on each other can no longer keep this economy, and world afloat.  We must rethink our values and begin to search within for the love we have lost.  The love for all human and animal kind.

“The “New Age” is actually a synthesis of many different beliefs and currents of thought, the emphasis being on a rejection of the limitations of reductionist materialism and an emphasis on the way that one can alter one’s personal reality through the application of belief, visualization, and positive affirmation. In a sense it is a spiritual awakening, an activation of the “theosphere”, an integration of holistic healing, alternative spirituality, esotericism, environmental sensitivity, alternative life-styles, awareness of other dimensions of existence, and attunement to the cosmos.  We will be more accepting of others with special gifts and talents. “In the New Age we break free of centuries of false doctrines, destructive indoctrinations, absurd ideas, and children’s stories about God, education, medicine, and love. Now in the Age of Aquarius, everything becomes unified. All our differences, all our dualities mix together like the fragrances of a flower shop, with all of the different flowers adding their bouquet to the overall mix until they are inseparable. Each individual flower remains distinct and individual, each one’s fragrance is unique and discernible when you come up close to it, yet joined together in unity with the others in the wonderful mixture that is the smell of the shop.” 1

Our individual worth comes from inside, from what we have inside, through our development, our evolution, and what we can give to society. Now our drastic differences dissolve and we integrate into the whole. We integrate and unify with the energy of the universe, with the great cosmic spirit.
With this comes healing as well, we begin to heal our minds, bodies and spirits.  It is my hope and vision that we hear this:  ” Hi, honey this is dad, let mom know when she is done with her meditation that I am stopping off to get my Chakra’s balanced, and I will be home soon!”     I for one am ready for this beautiful change, come with me as we all take part in the healing of our universe.
