Reiki

Reiki is an ancient form of healing that has been used successfully throughout the years.

It is a bio-field therapy that is an energy-based approach to health and healing. It uses touch to influence the human energy system. The energy that surrounds the body and the energy centers ( Chakra centers) control the energy flow from the energy field to the physical body. This is a non-invasive technique utilizing the hands to clear, energize and balance the human energy fields.

The human energy fields affect the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing. One of the goals in Reiki is to restore harmony and facilitate self-healing. Reiki complements conventional health methods.
In order to feel great and make positive changes in your life you need to be accepting and grateful for change. We need to restore emotional balance.

Often we don’t recognize when we are caught up in our problems. Despite our efforts to seek happiness, we are locked into our old patterns, old beliefs, old ways of thinking and doing things. All of these things can hold negative energy in our Chakra system – system of energetic flow in our beings.

Old wounds, and memories can unconsciously undermine our conscious desire to be happy and successful. This can lead to a build up of negative “baggage,” which can cause us to subconsciously repeat unhealthy patterns in our relationships, careers, and mental health.

When we begin to feel overwhelmed with everyday activities and situations, the negative energy can grow, thus attracting more negative energy and situations to us, making us feel “stuck in a rut.”

Through Reiki Transformational Healing, meditation, and yoga, you can begin to release the subconscious judgments and patterns that keep repeating in your life, while clearing the negative energy associated with them.

Preparing for a Session:

Your physical comfort is very important during a session, please let us know of any physical considerations.

Clothing:

Wear comfortable clothing without a belt. Keep in mind that you will be resting with your shoes off on a treatment table throughout the session.

Scents:

Since a practitioner’s senses are usually heightened during a session; please avoid using perfumes or colognes.

Chi Yoga

“Qi” or “chi” means life energy and the word yoga means “union” in Sanskrit, the language of ancient India where yoga originated.

We can think of the union occurring between the mind, body and spirit.
Here at Om Diva Yoga we have made a union between life energy and the mind, body and spirit. Similar to vinyasa but the movements enfold the body with chi “life force”.

Chi Yoga is a form of healing yoga that embraces the best of tai chi and yoga, two beautiful disciplines, brought together by breath, energy, and movement.

At Om Diva Yoga- we believe that chi-yoga is where the love of the universal source enfolds you, the light of the universal source surrounds you and the power of the universal source protects you.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy can be used to cope with a variety of physical and mental maladies

  • Cancer (All Types)

  • AIDS and/or HIV

  • Depression

  • Anxiety disorders (ADD, ADHD, etc) For children as well as adults

  • Musculo-Skeletal Issues (Lower/Upper Back Pain, Sciatica, Shoulder/Neck/Hip Pain)

Yoga Therapists usually work in small groups- private sessions, addressing specific health problems, and adapting poses accordingly.

Yoga Therapy advocates believe that since yoga is a holistic discipline — teaching that the mind, body, and spirit are connected — yoga therapy can go beyond the results that are possible with physical therapy.
